Alcuni oppositori al Deismo affermano che non è vero che sia una posizione filosofica anti-dogmatica in quanto la fede in Dio sarebbe a priori un assioma, un postulato o addirittura un dogma.
In realtà non è così secondo il Deismo. I deisti ipotizzano Dio, non hanno la rigida pretesa che sia reale, quindi non è un né un postulato, né né assioma, né un dogma, bensì un’ipotesi.
